Meditation Lemonade

Lately the office has been abuzz: a couple new employees have started settling in, long awaited books have been arriving in our warehouse, and everyone has been preparing for our Marketing Launch at the end of the month. Often when life gets crowded with schedules and sticky notes our minds get crowded and overwhelmed as well. In order to keep a clear head and focus on the tasks at hand I’ve scoured Elise Marie Collins’ Chakra Tonics, in search of a tasty smoothie to alleviate the brain fatigue and put some more perk in your summer step. Enjoy!

Meditation Lemonade

“Meditation calms the mind and has an alkalinizing affect on our water bodies. However, if we are in an acidic state, the mind is rampant with mental chatter, making meditation a challenging feat. Meditation Lemonade will help alkalize the body’s pH, making it less difficult to sit. You will fidget less and feel refreshed. Watermelon is a highly alkaline fruit, while whispers of lemongrass invoke the wisdom of the ajna chakra. Fresh lemons, although acidic, have an overall alkalinizing effect on the body.

  • 4 cups watermelon cut in chunks
  • 4 cups lemongrass tea
  • Juice of 5 lemons
  • 2 tablespoons to 1/4 cup agave or 1 tablespoon stevia to taste

Make lemongrass tea with 2-4 lemongrass tea bags and four cups of boiling water. To make lemongrass tea with fresh lemongrass, take 2-3 stalks of lemongrass and cut into 3-inch pieces. Place in a saucepan and with 4 1/2 cups of purified water, bring to a boil, and then simmer 5-10 minutes. Allow tea to cool. Place in a blender with other ingredients, blend, and voila. Your mind is at peace as you sip this delicious elixir.”
